Praying the Scriptures

Saturday Morning Prayer

October 26, 2024

And now I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them in your name that you have given me, so that they may be one, as we are one. (John 17:11)

Heavenly Father,

On this quiet New Mexican morning, as the cool air brushes against the warmth of the rising sun, I come before You united in Your name. As I behold the grandeur of Your creation—the stretching plains and towering mountains under this expansive sky—let me dwell in the harmony of Your Holy presence.

Holy Father, keep us in Your name—the name You gave to Your Son, that we may be one, even as You are one. In this prayerful solitude, strengthen my spirit to embrace the unity You desire for us, a unity that reflects Your divine love and grace.

Guide my thoughts and actions today, Lord, so that they may glorify You. Help me to extend Your peace and unity to those I meet, to speak words of healing and encouragement, and to be a vessel of Your unwavering love. Protect my heart from discord and my mind from distraction so that I may focus solely on Your purpose for me.

As the sun ascends and fills the day with light, fill my soul with the awareness of Your never-ending presence. Let me walk through this day in the assurance of Your love and under the guidance of Your Holy Spirit. Unite us, Your children, in our thoughts, our prayers, and our actions so that we might truly reflect the oneness You shared with Your Son.

In Jesus’ name, I pray,

Amen.

I hope this prayer brings you peace and inspiration as you start your day.
