Praying the Scriptures

Saturday Morning Prayer

October 5, 2024

Then looking up to heaven, he sighed and said to him, “Ephphatha,” that is, “Be opened.” And immediately his ears were opened, his tongue was released, and he spoke plainly. (Isaiah 49:6)

Heavenly Father,

As we awaken to the gentle light of this Saturday morning, we are reminded of Your call in Isaiah 49:6, where You declared Your servant to be "a light to the nations," so that Your salvation may reach to the ends of the earth. Lord, let this scripture not just dwell in us as words, but animate us as a divine calling.

Grant us the courage to carry Your light wherever we go, to illuminate the dark places, and to be beacons of hope and compassion. May our actions reflect Your love and bring joy to those who feel forgotten, strength to those who are weak, and comfort to those who are in distress.

Guide us this day, Lord, in our endeavors, whether they be of daily tasks or special missions. Help us to recognize the opportunities to witness Your grace in every interaction, no matter how small or trivial they may seem.

Thank you for entrusting us with the mission to be a light to the nations. Empower us by Your Spirit to fulfill this holy calling, not by our strength, but by Your grace and for Your glory.

In Jesus' Name, we pray,

Amen.

I hope this prayer brings you peace and inspiration as you start your day.
