Praying the Scriptures
Tuesday Morning Prayer
October 22, 2024
So now, O Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you? Only to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. (Deuteronomy 10:12)
Heavenly Father,
On this crisp October morning in New Mexico, as the sun ushers in a new day over the desert's expanse and the mountains stand firm under your watchful eyes, I come before You with a heart seeking to walk in Your ways.
Lord, You have shown us what is good; to fear You, to walk in all Your ways, to love You, and to serve You with all our heart and soul. Let this day be a reflection of Your commandments. As the cool breeze stirs the leaves and the world awakens, stir my spirit to embrace the tasks at hand with a fervor born of Your love.
Help me to serve those around me with a heart full of devotion, to walk paths of righteousness and justice, and to love the unlovable. As I step forward into the day, may my actions reflect the love You have bestowed upon me, a love so deep and wide that it encompasses all creation.
Thank You for this land, for these people, and for the opportunity to be Your hands and feet in this world. May my service be pleasing to You, as I remember that all I do, I do in Your holy name.
Amen.
May this prayer bring you peace and guidance as you start your day.
