Praying the Scriptures
Wednesday Morning Prayer
October 16, 2024
But when he heard this, he said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. Go and learn what this means, ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have come to call not the righteous but sinners.” (1 Corinthians 1:4–5)
Heavenly Father,
On this serene morning, as the sun rises over the mountains and spreads its warmth across the desert, I give thanks to You, my God, for the grace You have bestowed upon me in Christ Jesus. In every utterance and in all knowledge, You have enriched me, not lacking in any spiritual gift.
As I begin this Wednesday, I am reminded of Your constant presence and the unending grace that flows from You through Jesus. I am grateful for the community around me, for the wisdom shared, and for the love that binds us. You have equipped us to share Your story with enthusiasm and sincerity.
Lord, guide my actions and words today. May they be reflections of Your grace and love. Help me to embrace each challenge as an opportunity to show Your compassion to those around me. Let my life be a testament to the gifts You have freely given, and may I always point others to You.
Thank you for the unique tapestry of life in this beautiful state, for the diverse cultures that enrich us, and for the beauty of creation that inspires us daily. May I live this day fully aware of Your gifts, using them to bless others as You have blessed me.
In Jesus’ name, I pray,
Amen.
May this prayer bring you strength and encouragement as you go about your day!
