Praying the Scriptures
Tuesday Morning Prayer
November 5, 2024
The eyes of the Lord are on those who love him, a mighty shield and strong support, a shelter from scorching wind and a shade from noonday sun, a guard against stumbling and a help against falling. (Sirach 34:19)
Heavenly Father,
As I greet this brisk November morning under the vast expanse of New Mexico's sky, I draw near to You with a heart full of sincerity. Your word reminds me, "One who rises early to seek the Lord will be filled with blessings." So here I am, Lord, seeking You at the dawn, trusting in the richness of Your grace.
As the golden hues of the sunrise paint the horizon, let my actions paint a picture of Your love and compassion. In a world often clouded by uncertainty and strife, let me be a bearer of hope and peace. Let my hands extend in kindness to those who struggle; my words uplift the brokenhearted, and my presence brings comfort to the lonely.
As the earth awakens and the creatures stir beneath the wide blue sky, stir my spirit to align with Your divine will. Fill me with the blessings of Your wisdom and guidance, that I may navigate this day with the assurance of Your presence beside me.
In the quiet moments of this morning, I offer You my anxieties and plans, asking for Your holy hand to guide me. May my decisions reflect Your love, and may my day be filled with the purpose You have ordained for me.
Thank You, Father, for this new day, for the beauty of Your creation, and for the privilege of approaching You with a truthful heart. May this day be a testament to Your enduring faithfulness.
In the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, I pray,
Amen.
May this prayer bring you peace and strength as you start your day.
