Praying the Scriptures

Wednesday Morning Prayer

November 27, 2024

Good and upright is the LORD; therefore he instructs sinners in the way. He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble his way. (Psalm 25:8–9)

Good and upright are You, O Lord,

And on this crisp November morning, I am reminded of Your steadfast love. The sun rises over the desert, casting its golden light upon the rugged beauty of New Mexico, and I am humbled by Your creation.

You lead the humble in what is right, and this morning, I come before You with a heart seeking Your guidance. Teach me, Lord, to walk in Your ways, to tread the paths of righteousness that bring peace to my soul and honor to Your name.

The air is cool, and the sky stretches endlessly, reminding me of the vastness of Your mercy and the depth of Your faithfulness. As I go about this day, may I show kindness to those I meet, reflecting Your goodness. Lead me to be patient, gentle, and compassionate, even when challenges arise.

Lord, I ask that You shape my heart to follow Your will, not just in grand gestures but in the small, quiet acts of faithfulness. Help me to trust in Your promises, knowing that You guide those who seek You with sincerity.

As I breathe in the beauty of this morning, I give thanks for Your presence, for Your unyielding grace, and for the hope You plant in every new day. May my words and actions today be a prayer of praise to You.

Amen.

May this prayer bring you strength and encouragement as you go about your day!
