Matthew 6:19-21
Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal; but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

The moth symbolizes destruction, rust represents decay over time, and thieves signify the insecurity of earthly riches. Jesus teaches that material wealth, no matter how secure it seems, is always vulnerable to loss.

2. Live Generously: By focusing on heavenly treasures, we are free to live generously, sharing our resources to bless others and advance God’s Kingdom. Generosity reflects our trust in God as our provider.
3. Cultivate Eternal Values: Actions such as fostering relationships, sharing the Gospel, and practicing acts of kindness contribute to storing up heavenly treasures. These investments build a legacy that extends beyond this life.
4. Heart Alignment: Our hearts follow our treasures. If we align our investments with God's purposes, our hearts will naturally draw closer to Him. This alignment brings peace and fulfillment.

Where is your treasure? This question demands an honest evaluation of our lives. Reflect on what consumes your thoughts, motivates your decisions, and shapes your goals. Earthly treasures are fleeting, but heavenly treasures endure. Consider the invitation to invest in the eternal today.
