Praying the Scriptures

Thursday Morning Prayer

January 9, 2025

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord, because you know that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:57-58)

Gracious and Everlasting God,

This morning, as the first light kisses the desert floor, I lift my heart to You in gratitude. The crisp New Mexican air whispers of new beginnings, and the vast sky stretches as a reminder of Your infinite love.

I thank You for the victory You have given me through my Lord Jesus Christ. In the stillness of this January morning, I reflect on Your faithfulness and the unshakable hope You have planted within me. Though the world around me may shift like the desert sands, I stand firm in the assurance of Your promises.

Strengthen me, Lord, to be steadfast and immovable in my faith. Guide my hands and my heart to abound in Your work today, knowing that my labor in You is never in vain. Let me embrace each task, whether small or great, as an act of worship and a reflection of Your grace.

As the warmth of the sun begins to touch the earth, may Your Spirit ignite my soul to shine with the light of Christ. May I walk boldly in Your purpose, carrying Your peace and sharing Your love with those I encounter.

Thank You, Lord, for this new day, for the victory I have in Christ, and for the strength to press on. I surrender this day to You, trusting that You will guide me and sustain me.

In the name of Jesus, my Savior and Redeemer, I pray.

Amen.

May this prayer bring you peace and inspiration for your day.
