Praying the Scriptures
Tuesday Evening Prayer
February 4, 2025
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)
Heavenly Father,
As the sun dips below the horizon and paints the desert sky with hues of orange and lavender, I pause to reflect on Your unchanging presence in my life. The quiet majesty of the Florida Mountains reminds me of Your steadfast love, a love that guides me like a beacon through the wilderness of life.
Jesus, You declared, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Tonight, I cling to those words, finding comfort and direction in Your truth. You are the way that leads me through the shifting sands of uncertainty, the truth that illuminates the path ahead, and the life that fills my soul with purpose and hope.
In the stillness of this desert evening, I sense Your Spirit moving in the cool breeze that rustles the mesquite. Teach me to walk Your way with humility and faithfulness. Help me to embrace Your truth, not only in my thoughts but in my actions, that I might reflect Your light to others. And may Your life flow through me, bringing renewal to my spirit and peace to my heart.
Lord, as the stars begin to shimmer in the vast expanse above, I am reminded of Your infinite greatness and the eternal life You promise. Let this night bring rest to my body and refreshment to my soul, as I dwell in the peace that only You can give.
I pray this in the name of Jesus, my Way, my Truth, and my Life.
Amen.
May this prayer bring you peace and comfort this evening.
