Praying the Scriptures
Friday Morning Prayer
February 28, 2025
For your steadfast love is as high as the heavens; your faithfulness extends to the clouds. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens. Let your glory be over all the earth. (Psalm 57:10-11)
Gracious and Almighty God,
As the dawn stretches across the desert sky, I lift my heart to You in praise. Your steadfast love is greater than the vast heavens, and Your faithfulness reaches beyond the peaks of the Florida Mountains.
This February morning, the crisp air whispers of Your goodness, and the rising sun declares Your glory. The earth is still, yet creation sings—coyotes call in the distance, doves coo from their roosts, and the wind carries the scent of the coming spring. All of it, Lord, speaks of You.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, and let Your glory shine over all the earth! Let it fill not only the boundless sky but also the depths of my soul. May my words and actions today reflect Your love and faithfulness, that others may see and know that You are near.
Guide my steps, Lord, as I walk this desert path. Keep my heart fixed on You, unshaken by the troubles of the world. When challenges arise, let me rest in the certainty of Your mercy. When I falter, lift me up with the power of Your grace.
I commit this day to You, trusting in the One whose love never fails. In the name of Jesus Christ, my Rock and Redeemer, I pray.
Amen.
May this prayer bring you peace and inspiration for the day ahead.
