Praying the Scriptures
Monday Morning Prayer
February 10, 2025
On that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: We have a strong city; he sets up victory like walls and bulwarks. Open the gates, so that the righteous nation that keeps faith may enter in. Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace—in peace because they trust in you. Trust in the LORD forever, for in the Lord God you have an everlasting rock. (Isaiah 26:1-4)
Gracious and Eternal God,
As the dawn stretches across the desert sky, painting the Florida Mountains in hues of soft rose and golden light, I lift my heart to You. The cool morning air whispers of Your faithfulness, and the stillness of this land reminds me that in You alone my soul finds peace.
O Lord, You are my steadfast rock, my shelter in every season. When the winds shift and the path ahead seems uncertain, I will trust in You. Just as You have been the fortress of Your people, a stronghold against the storms of time, so too are You my refuge today. I stand upon the firm foundation of Your promises, unshaken by the trials that come and go.
Let my heart be fixed on You, Lord, unwavering in faith. May I walk this day with a spirit of quiet confidence, knowing that You establish the path of the righteous. Where my mind is restless, grant me Your perfect peace; where my steps falter, strengthen me with Your enduring love.
The desert may be dry, but Your mercies are like the morning dew, renewing my soul. The mountains may be rugged, but Your hand upholds me. In this sacred stillness, I declare with joy: "You keep in perfect peace those whose minds are stayed on You, because they trust in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for in the Lord God we have an everlasting rock."
Amen.
May this prayer bring you peace and strength as you start your day.
