Praying the Scriptures

Sunday Morning Prayer

February 9, 2025

You who live in the shelter of the Most High, who abide in the shadow of the Almighty, will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.” (Psalm 91:1–2)

Loving God,

As the desert sun rises over the rugged hills of southwestern New Mexico, I open my heart to You. In this quiet dawn, I take refuge in Your promise from Psalm 91:1–2: You are my shelter, my fortress, the One in whom I trust.

Like the resilient desert flora that flourishes under Your watchful care, I pray to stand strong under Your protection. Let Your warmth fill me as the morning light spreads across the desert floor, reminding me that You are my refuge and strength.

Today, may I walk in confidence, trusting that I dwell in the secret place of the Most High, resting in the shadow of the Almighty.

Amen.

I hope this prayer brings you peace and inspiration for your day.
