Praying the Scriptures
Thursday Morning Prayer
February 6, 2025
I will exult and rejoice in your steadfast love, because you have seen my affliction; you have taken heed of my adversities. (Psalm 31:7)
Heavenly Father,
As the first light brushes across the desert and the coolness of February lingers, I lift my heart to You in gratitude. I thank You for the beauty of this land—the stark mountains, the wide-open sky, and the gentle whispers of the morning breeze.
I will rejoice and be glad in Your steadfast love, for You have seen my affliction; You have taken notice of my troubles. You know the depths of my heart, Lord—the moments of joy and sorrow, the struggles I carry, and the hope I cling to. Yet, in Your mercy, You remain my rock and my refuge.
This morning, I commit myself to You anew. Teach me to walk in trust and faithfulness, to release my burdens into Your hands, and to face this day with courage, knowing that You are always near.
As I step outside and feel the warmth of the sun begin to touch the earth, let it remind me of Your unchanging love that sustains me. May my words and actions reflect Your light to those I encounter today, bringing peace, kindness, and encouragement.
In Jesus' name, I pray.
Amen.
May this prayer bring you peace and inspiration for your day.
