Praying the Scriptures
Tuesday Morning Prayer
February 11, 2025
When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak on his own, but will speak whatever he hears, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. (John 16:13)
Gracious and ever-present Lord,
As the first light of dawn stretches across the desert floor, and the cool breath of morning whispers through the mesquites, I come before You in gratitude. The stillness of this February morning reminds me that Your Spirit is here—guiding, teaching, and revealing truth in the quiet spaces of my heart.
Jesus, You promised that when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide me into all truth (John 16:13). In this season of transition, when winter’s chill lingers but the first signs of spring stir beneath the soil, I ask for Your guidance. Just as the desert waits patiently for rain, may my soul wait upon You with trust, knowing that Your Spirit leads me not according to my own understanding, but in the wisdom and love of the Father.
Open my ears to hear Your voice, Lord. Silence the noise of doubt and distraction, that I may walk in the way You have set before me. Let my words today be shaped by truth, my actions be led by love, and my thoughts be centered on You.
As the sun rises over the rugged mountains, I am reminded of Your faithfulness. You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. Just as You have guided me through the winding paths of my past, I trust You will lead me forward into what is yet to come. May I not fear the unknown, for You, O Lord, are already there, preparing the way.
Spirit of truth, fill me anew. Shape my heart, my mind, and my soul that I may bear witness to Your light in this world. Let my life reflect Your presence, shining like the morning sun upon the desert landscape—bringing warmth, hope, and renewal to those I meet.
In Jesus’ holy name, I pray.
Amen.
May this prayer bring you peace and guidance as you start your day.
