Praying the Scriptures
Wednesday Morning Prayer
February 12, 2025
Nevertheless, do not rejoice at this, that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven. (Luke 10:20)
Gracious and Loving God,
As the first light of dawn spreads across the desert, painting the sky in hues of rose and gold, I lift my heart to You in thanksgiving. The cool February air carries the scent of sage and earth, and I am reminded of Your abiding presence in all creation.
Lord, today I rejoice—not in my accomplishments, not in the work of my hands, not in the fleeting victories of this world—but in the eternal truth that my name is written in heaven. In Your mercy, You have called me Your own, and that alone is my greatest joy.
Amid the tasks of this day, let me not seek validation in success or power, but in the assurance of Your love. May I serve with humility, love without condition, and walk in the footsteps of Christ, knowing that all I do is for Your glory.
Bless those who cross my path today—the weary traveler, the neighbor in need, the friend who seeks comfort. Let my words and actions be a reflection of the grace You have poured into my life.
And when the sun sets beyond the Florida Mountains, and the desert wind whispers through the mesquite, may I rest in peace, knowing that nothing in this world can compare to the joy of belonging to You.
In the name of Jesus, my Savior and Redeemer, I pray.
Amen.
May this prayer bring you strength and encouragement as you go about your day!
