Praying the Scriptures
Wednesday Morning Prayer
February 26, 2025
I lift up my eyes to the hills—from where will my help come? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. (Psalm 121:1–2)
Gracious and ever-watchful God,
As the sun rises over the desert, painting the Florida Mountains in hues of gold and crimson, I lift my eyes to the hills—those ancient sentinels that have stood steadfast through the ages. In their quiet strength, I am reminded of Your enduring presence. Where does my help come from? My help comes from You, O Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
The cool morning air carries the scent of mesquite and sage, a gentle reminder that Your creation surrounds me with whispers of Your love. In this season where the land rests, waiting for the warmth of spring, I, too, wait upon You. Renew my spirit, Lord, and fill me with the peace that comes from trusting in Your unfailing care.
As I step into this new day, may my heart remain fixed on You. Guide my thoughts, my words, and my deeds, that they may reflect Your goodness. Keep me mindful of the blessings that abound even in the quiet, even in the waiting, even in the stillness of a February morning.
Thank You for being my refuge, my strength, and my ever-present help. I walk forward in faith, knowing that You are with me, both now and always.
Amen.
May this prayer bring you strength and encouragement as you go about your day!
