Praying the Scriptures

Sunday Morning Prayer

May 11, 2025

For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life is revealed, then you also will be revealed with him in glory. (Colossians 3:3–4)

Gracious Lord,

As the sun crests the horizon beyond the Florida Mountains, painting the desert floor in shades of gold and rose, I lift my heart to You with quiet reverence. The morning wind rustles the creosote and mesquite, and I’m reminded that my life—though rooted in this earth—is hidden with Christ in You.

In this still hour, when the world is yet uncluttered by noise or demand, I remember that I have died to the old self. The life I now live is not my own, but belongs to Christ, who is my hope and my resurrection. Each breath I take is a whisper of grace; each step, a journey deeper into Your glory.

Let me live today as one who belongs to eternity—walking humbly, loving freely, and seeing every task as a sacred offering. May my hidden life in Christ shape all I do and say, so that when He is revealed in glory, I too may reflect His light.

Amen.

May you walk today in the quiet strength of your hidden life in Christ, revealing His glory through every word and deed.
