Praying the Scriptures
Monday Morning Prayer
July 7, 2025
Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful. (Hebrews 10:23)
Gracious and Faithful God,
As the sun rises over the Florida Mountains, spilling golden light across this quiet desert, I pause to breathe in the stillness of this sacred morning. The earth feels hushed, as if holding its breath in reverence—and I, too, find myself holding fast to the confession of my hope, even when grief stirs gently beneath the surface.
You, O Lord, have never failed me. Though the seasons shift and the faces I once loved are no longer beside me, I remember them now—each name etched in my heart like the silhouette of the mountains against the morning sky. I miss them deeply, yet I give thanks for the gift of their lives, the love we shared, and the ways their memory still shapes my soul.
Let their legacy live on in the way I love, the way I serve, and the way I trust in You. For You, who promised eternal life, are faithful. Even in sorrow, I will not waver. Even in silence, I will sing of Your goodness.
Hold me in the strength of Your promise, Lord. Let this day begin with praise, rooted in remembrance, and lifted by unshakable hope.
Amen.
May the rising sun remind you of God’s unwavering faithfulness, and may the memory of your loved ones strengthen your hope until you meet again in His eternal light.
