Praying the Scriptures
Saturday Morning Prayer
July 12, 2025
It is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20)
O Lord,
As the sun rises over the Florida Mountains and paints the desert in hues of rose and gold, I stand in quiet awe of Your handiwork. The cool air brushes against my skin, and the earth still holds its breath—holy, expectant. Thank You for this new day, for the gift of waking once again beneath Your wide and merciful sky.
Out here in the stillness, where the creosote glistens and the dove lifts its morning song, I remember: it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. This truth humbles me. It steadies me. Let it shape me today.
Lord Jesus, take the lead in all I do. Let Your thoughts shape my own, Your words flow from my lips, and Your love be the measure of my actions. Where I am weak, be strong. Where I am uncertain, be my peace. I lay down my will and take up Yours with open hands.
Fill me with Your Spirit that I may walk in grace, speak with kindness, and carry light wherever You send me. And as I go, may I be a blessing to all who cross my path—offering hope, encouragement, and the quiet witness of a life lived not for self, but for You.
Amen.
May the peace of Christ, who lives within you, guide your every step and shine through you as a light to the world today.
