Praying the Scriptures
Tuesday Morning Prayer
July 15, 2025
I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my whole being shall exult in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. (Isaiah 61:10)
Gracious and Glorious Lord,
As the sun rises over the Florida Mountains and spills golden light upon this sacred desert floor, my whole being rejoices in You. The breeze carries the scent of creosote, and the hush of morning is broken only by the soft stirrings of birdsong—yet within me, a song louder still awakens: a hymn of praise to the One who has clothed me in salvation.
You have robed me not in shame or fear, but in righteousness—bright as morning, pure as bridal white. I stand adorned not by my own worth, but by Your mercy. Like a bridegroom crowned with garland, like a bride shimmering in jewels, I feel the weight and wonder of Your grace resting upon my shoulders.
Here, in this stillness, I remember who I am: not a wanderer, but a beloved—chosen, cherished, and called.
Clothe my heart anew today, Lord, in gratitude and joy. Let my every step reflect the beauty of the garment You have given me. Let this desert bloom beneath Your light, and let my life shine with the quiet radiance of one who knows she is loved.
Amen.
May the light of this new day clothe you in joy and righteousness, and may you walk in the beauty of God’s grace wherever your path unfolds.
