Praying the Scriptures

Wednesday Morning Prayer

July 9, 2025

For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth takes its name. I pray that, according to the riches of his glory, he may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being with power through his Spirit, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. (Ephesians 3:14–17a)

Heavenly Father,

As the first golden light spills over the Florida Mountains and dances across the quiet high desert, I bow my knees before You in awe. The earth is still, the air is hushed, and creation seems to hold its breath in reverence of Your majesty. In this sacred hour, beneath Your ever-widening sky, I lift my heart to You.

You, O Lord, are the Father from whom every family in heaven and on earth takes its name. All that I am and all that I love has its origin in You. And so, I come—not with eloquence, but with longing. According to the riches of Your glory, strengthen me this morning in my inner being. Let Your Spirit fill the hidden chambers of my soul where weariness tries to take root.

Let Christ dwell in me—not as a passing thought or distant hope—but as the steady presence that shapes my every word, choice, and step. May my heart be His home. Root me, O God, in Your unfailing love. Ground me in grace that holds firm when winds of doubt or fear arise.

This day is Yours. I surrender it—and myself—into Your hands. May I walk in quiet strength, in sure faith, and in the deep awareness that I am loved beyond measure. Let the warmth of this rising sun remind me that Your mercies are new every morning.

Amen.

May you go into this day strengthened by the Spirit, with Christ dwelling richly in your heart, and your life rooted deeply in the unfailing love of God.
