Praying the Scriptures
Friday Morning Prayer
September 5, 2025
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing. (2 Timothy 4:7–8)
Lord Jesus,
On this September morning, with the cool air brushing against my face and the first light breaking over the horizon, I pause to thank You for the strength You have given me to persevere. Through trials and triumphs, You have held me steady, reminding me that every step I take is part of the race You have set before me.
I confess that at times I grow weary, my spirit weighed down by the struggles of each day. Yet even in weakness, You breathe courage into me. Teach me to fight the good fight—not with anger or fear, but with love, patience, and faith that endures. May each small act of obedience be a stride toward the finish line You have marked out.
Lord, keep my heart steadfast. When doubts rise or shadows fall, fix my eyes on You, the righteous Judge who sees and knows. Let me run with endurance, not for earthly recognition, but for the crown of righteousness You promise to all who long for Your appearing.
This morning, I rise with hope renewed, confident that my labor is not in vain. The cool September air whispers of new beginnings, and I set my face toward the day with joy, knowing that in You, victory is already assured.
Amen.
May the Lord strengthen your steps today, keeping your heart steadfast in the race of faith until you receive the crown of righteousness in His eternal presence.
