Praying the Scriptures
Monday Morning Prayer
September 1, 2025
If anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new! (2 Corinthians 5:17)
O Lord,
On this first morning of September, I lift my heart to You with gratitude. The dawn breaks gently over the desert, and with it comes the gift of a fresh month, a new season, and a renewed spirit. Thank You for the breath in my lungs, the strength in my body, and the hope that rises with the sun.
Your Word declares, “If anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!” Today, I hold fast to this promise. In Christ, my past no longer chains me, my failures no longer define me, and my sins no longer condemn me. I am a new creation, reborn in Your mercy and alive in Your grace.
Lord, help me lay down what is old—every burden, fear, and regret—and clothe myself in the new life You offer. Teach me to walk in forgiveness, to speak words of blessing, and to carry Your light into every encounter. As the month shifts from the warmth of summer toward the harvest of autumn, let my heart also embrace this season of change as a sign of Your continual renewal.
I dedicate this day, and this month, to You. May the work of my hands, the thoughts of my mind, and the meditations of my heart glorify You. Let the life of Christ within me shine so that others may see Your goodness and be drawn to Your love.
In Jesus’ name, I pray.
Amen.
May the Lord who makes all things new guide my steps this day, that I may walk in the fullness of His grace and live as a witness of His renewing love.
