Praying the Scriptures
Saturday Morning Prayer
September 13, 2025
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God—not the result of works, so that no one may boast. (Ephesians 2:8–9)
Lord God,
As the sun rises over the eastern horizon from Deming, its golden light spills across the desert, painting the Florida Mountains in soft hues of pink and amber. The warmth of dawn stirs the stillness, and I am reminded that Your mercies are new every morning. Just as the light spreads freely across the land, so too does Your grace reach into my life, undeserved yet abundant.
Gracious Lord, I give thanks that my salvation rests not in my striving or my worthiness but in Your immeasurable gift of grace through faith. I could never earn this love, nor could I boast of any deed that might deserve it. You have saved me, not by my doing, but by the boundless mercy poured out through Jesus Christ.
I confess my weakness, Lord. Left to myself, I falter and fail, stumbling on the path You have set before me. Yet Your mercy lifts me up, reminding me that I am not defined by my failings but by the gift of Your grace.
So this day, let me walk in humility, holding fast to faith, and living with gratitude. May each word I speak and each act I perform reflect the grace that first found me and continues to guide me.
Lord, as I step into this day, let me walk in the steady light of Your grace, now and always.
Amen.
May the grace that saved me, the faith that sustains me, and the mercy that renews me each morning guide my steps in peace today and always.
