Praying the Scriptures
Thursday Morning Prayer
September 11, 2025
Out of his anguish he shall see light; he shall find satisfaction through his knowledge. The righteous one, my servant, shall make many righteous, and he shall bear their iniquities. (Isaiah 53:11)
Lord of the morning,
I thank You for this new day in early September. The air is cooler now, the harvest fields are beginning to ripen, and the light of dawn gently pushes away the night. I receive this gift of morning as a sign of Your faithfulness—that after darkness, You always bring light.
As I ponder the words of the prophet, I remember the anguish Your servant bore for me. Through His suffering came light, through His obedience came righteousness, and through His sacrifice came hope for all who believe. I confess, O God, that I often stumble, yet I rest in the truth that His righteousness covers my failures, and His mercy redeems my weakness.
Renew me today, Lord. Grant me strength where I am weary, wisdom where I am uncertain, and compassion where my heart grows hard. Let me walk in the light of Christ, carrying His love into each task and conversation this day brings.
And I pray not for myself alone, but for all who awaken this morning under the weight of sorrow, doubt, or fear. May they, too, see the light that rises from Christ’s anguish, and find peace in the hope He gives.
In His holy name I pray,
Amen.
May the light of Christ, who bore our iniquities, guide your steps in peace and fill your day with hope.
