Praying the Scriptures
Tuesday Morning Prayer
September 16, 2025
When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father, he will testify on my behalf. You also are to testify because you have been with me from the beginning. (John 15:26–27)
Lord,
I thank You for the gift of this September morning. The coolness in the air, the soft golden light of early autumn, and the signs of harvest all remind me of Your steady faithfulness through every season. My heart is lifted in gratitude as I rise to walk into this new day.
Holy Spirit, Advocate and Spirit of truth, come and guide me. Shape my thoughts, steady my words, and direct my actions so that all I do may bear witness to Christ. Breathe into me Your wisdom and courage, that I may not shrink from truth but speak it with gentleness and love.
Jesus, You promised that the Spirit would testify on Your behalf. I ask for strength to join in that testimony today. Let my life point others toward You—not in my own power, but through the Spirit’s quiet leading. May I reflect Your mercy, kindness, and grace in every encounter.
I trust, O God, that You will use this day for Your glory. Whatever unfolds, let me rest in the assurance that I am Yours and that my witness, however small, belongs in Your great work. This I offer to You, with hope and with joy.
Amen.
May the Spirit of truth go with me this day, that my life may quietly shine as a witness to Christ’s love and glory.
