Praying the Scriptures

Wednesday Morning Prayer

September 10, 2025

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. (Psalm 119:105)

Lord,

As this September morning dawns, I feel the coolness in the air and notice the days growing shorter. The summer’s brightness fades into the softer light of autumn, and I am reminded that Your Word is the lamp that never dims, the steady flame guiding me through every season of life.

I thank You, O God, for the gift of Your Word—ever faithful, ever true. When my path feels uncertain or the way ahead is shadowed, Your promises give me clarity, hope, and direction. Just as the harvest season brings its fruit in due time, so too Your Word nourishes me with wisdom and sustains me in times of weariness.

Help me to walk faithfully in Your ways today, even when I cannot see far ahead. Teach me to trust the light You provide step by step, knowing it is enough for the journey before me.

Grant me strength to keep my eyes fixed on You, clarity to discern Your will, and courage to follow where You lead. May this day be shaped by the lamp of Your Word and the light of Your presence.

Amen.

May the lamp of God’s Word and the light of His presence guide your every step with peace and strength throughout this day.
