Praying the Scriptures
Monday Morning Prayer
December 29, 2025
“Praise the LORD! O give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever.” — Psalm 106:1
Praise the Lord!
As the winter morning breaks softly over Deming, I lift my heart in praise to You, O Lord. In the cool desert air and the first light touching the Florida Mountains, I remember Your goodness and give thanks. Your love has not faded with time or circumstance; it endures beyond every night and greets me again with the dawn. I begin this day grateful, aware that every breath, every quiet moment, is held within Your steadfast mercy.
In this stillness, I reflect on how often You have shown compassion when I was unaware or undeserving. Your faithfulness has carried me through seasons of joy and seasons of weariness, and even now, in the simplicity of this Christmas morning, I see the traces of Your care all around me. Like the desert waking slowly to light, my soul awakens to gratitude, remembering that Your mercy has never failed me and never will.
So I place this day into Your hands with quiet trust. As Christ’s light continues to dwell among us in this holy season, let my life respond with praise—not only in words, but in faithfulness and love. Walk with me through the hours ahead, and keep my heart rooted in thanksgiving, confident that Your enduring mercy will guide me, sustain me, and remain with me always.
Amen.
May the enduring mercy of God, revealed in Christ and renewed each morning, rest upon us all and guide our hearts in gratitude, peace, and faithful love throughout this day.
