Praying the Scriptures
Saturday Morning Prayer
December 6, 2025
“The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come.’ And let everyone who hears say, ‘Come.’ And let everyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who wishes take the water of life as a gift.” — Revelation 22:17
Lord Jesus,
As this Advent morning dawns, I quiet my heart before You, letting the stillness of the desert air remind me of the holy longing that fills this season. I hear the words of Scripture echoing within me—“The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come’”—and I add my own voice to that ancient call, longing for Your presence to draw near.
I come to You thirsty, Lord—thirsty for grace, for peace, for the living water that only You can give. In these early hours, I lift my soul to You with expectancy, trusting that You meet all who seek You with open hands. Refresh me with the water of life; let it flow through the dry places of my spirit and awaken in me a deeper hope for Your coming kingdom.
Teach me today to live as one who waits faithfully. Let my words, my actions, and even my silence bear witness to the hope that Advent stirs within me. As I move through the hours ahead, keep my heart attuned to the gentle whisper of Your Spirit inviting me to say again and again, “Come, Lord Jesus.”
Amen.
May the hope of Christ’s coming refresh our spirits this day, filling us with peace, purpose, and the living water that never runs dry.
