Praying the Scriptures
Tuesday Morning Prayer
December 30, 2025
“And Mary said, ‘My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has looked with favor on the lowliness of his servant. Surely, from now on all generations will call me blessed; for the Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is his name.’” — Luke 1:46–49
Lord,
As the dawn breaks over the Florida Mountains, casting long shadows across the high desert floor, my soul awakens to magnify You. Just as the rising sun transforms the gray scrub and dry earth into a landscape of gold and lavender, my spirit rejoices in You, my Savior, for the light of Your presence changes everything it touches. In the crisp silence of this morning, before the work of the ranch begins, I lift my heart in gratitude, finding that even in the stillness of this vast valley, Your love is the loudest sound I hear.
You have looked with favor upon the lowliness of Your servant, finding me here amidst the mesquite and the dust. I am humbled that the Creator of the stars would stoop to care for one so small, dwelling with us in our simple homes and ordinary days. Like Mary, I marvel that You choose the humble places to reveal Your glory, and I offer up the labor of my hands and the thoughts of my heart today, trusting that You see and bless the quiet faithfulness of Your children in every corner of this land.
The Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is Your name. As the sixth day of Christmas unfolds, let the reality of Your incarnation remain as solid and enduring as the rugged peaks on the horizon. I proclaim Your greatness not just in words, but in the way I walk through this day, remembering that You have poured out mercy from generation to generation. May my life reflect the joy of Your coming, echoing the ancient song of praise that rings true even now, for You have visited Your people and redeemed us with Your love.
Amen.
May the Mighty One who has done great things bless us all, empowering our spirits to magnify His love and extend His mercy to everyone we meet this day.
