Praying the Scriptures
Wednesday Morning Prayer
December 10, 2025
“But for you who revere my name the sun of righteousness shall rise, with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall.” — Malachi 4:2
Lord,
As this Advent morning softly unfolds, I open my eyes to the promise of Your rising light. In the quiet before the sun touches the desert hills, I feel the first stirrings of Your “sun of righteousness,” warming the places in me that have grown cold or weary. I breathe deeply and welcome Your presence, trusting that even before I fully see the dawn, Your healing wings are already stretching over my life.
Today, I choose to revere Your name with my whole heart. I lift to You the shadows that linger within me—the doubts, the aches, the unfinished places—and I rest in the assurance that Your light is gentle yet powerful enough to drive them away. Let Your righteousness rise within me like the early morning sun, steady and faithful, shaping my thoughts, guiding my steps, and illuminating the path before me.
As I step into this new day, awaken in me a deeper hope. Let every moment be warmed by Your nearness, every breath remind me that healing is not far off but already unfolding, and every act reflect the quiet expectation that You are making all things new.
Amen.
May the rising light of Christ guide us in hope, heal us in love, and lead us into this day with hearts awakened to His nearness.
