Praying the Scriptures

Wednesday Morning Prayer

December 17, 2025

“…this life was revealed, and we have seen it and testify to it, and declare to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us.”1 John 1:2

Lord Jesus,

As this new morning opens before me, I pause in quiet gratitude for the wonder of Your revelation. The life that was with the Father has been made known to us, and in this gentle Advent light I remember that You stepped into our world so that we might behold the eternal life You freely give. Let this truth awaken my spirit today, filling me with a joy that does not fade with circumstance but rests securely in Your unchanging love.

As I rise into the rhythm of this day, teach me to bear witness to the light I have received. In my words, my choices, and my compassion, let others glimpse the grace that has transformed my life. Keep me mindful that testimony is not only spoken but lived—shaped by humility, generosity, and quiet courage. May the joy revealed in You shine through me in ways that honor Your name.

In this Third Week of Advent, strengthen my longing for Your coming—both in the great hope of Your return and in the small, sacred ways You draw near each day. Awaken my heart to Your presence, even in ordinary moments, and deepen my trust in the eternal life You have declared to us. Let this morning be the beginning of a day shaped by Your joy, sustained by Your light, and filled with the peaceful expectancy of Your promise.

Amen.

May the joy of Christ’s revealed life guide our steps today, filling us with hope, light, and grace as we go forth together in His love.
