Monday Morning Prayer

January 26, 2026

“The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desire of all who fear him; he also hears their cry, and saves them.” — Psalm 145:18-19

Almighty God,

As the first light of this Monday morning begins to crest over the peaks of the Florida Mountains to the east, the high desert air remains sharp and cold. In the profound quiet of this morning on the ranch, before the duties of the week begin to clamor, I pause to center my spirit entirely on You. The stillness of the winter landscape mirrors the waiting in my own soul, and I reach out to You now, leaning into the promise that You are intimately near to all who call upon You in truth.

I confess that in the silence of my heart, I often wrestle with the lingering question of whether my service and my life are truly enough to satisfy You. My faith can feel fragile against the vastness of Your glory, and my human weakness is often all too evident to me, yet I long for a deeper trust that rests not in my own performance, but in Your infinite sufficiency. I ask that You would meet this desire, hearing the cry of my heart for more of You, and reminding me that Your power is most visible not when I am strong, but when I surrender my striving to Your grace.

As the day brightens, grant me the quiet confidence to believe that You can bring growth and change even from the smallest seeds of faith I offer today. Just as the sun warms this arid earth, let Your love warm my spirit, turning my uncertainty into steady, joyful purpose. I commit this new week to Your care, trusting that You are at work in ways I cannot fully see, and that You will guide my steps with the assurance of Your saving hand.

Amen.

May we go forth together, united in the growing light of Christ, to share God's illuminating love with every neighbor we meet.
