Monday Morning Prayer

February 2, 2026

“And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with singing; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.”Isaiah 35:10

Gracious God,

The air is sharp and thin here in the high desert this Monday morning, and the February chill still clings to the earth. As I look out toward the Florida Mountains, the sun has not yet crested the peaks to chase away the long shadows, and the world feels suspended in this quiet winter moment. It is the time of year when we look for signs of spring but often find only the persistence of the cold, and my spirit admits to feeling small against the vastness of this horizon. I come to You in the stillness, acknowledging my own fragility and seeking a warmth that the rising sun alone cannot provide.

You know the weariness that sometimes settles in my bones, the tendency to focus on the shadows I cast rather than the light that creates them. Yet, I trust that You are the one who makes the wilderness bloom and strengthens the hands that feel too weak to carry the day’s burdens. Just as the morning light is beginning to spill gold across the scrubland, I ask that You break into the uncertainty of my heart. Replace my sighing with a quiet song and turn my anxiety into a pathway for Your presence, reminding me that You are actively redeeming every broken and barren place within me.

As I step into the routine of this new week, grant me a confidence that is rooted not in my own resolve, but in Your steadfast power to bring life from the dust. If this season requires more patience, give me the grace to wait well; if it is time for new growth, open my eyes to see the small shoots of hope rising from the dry ground. May I walk through these hours with a glad heart, knowing that the journey leads home to You, and that even in the midst of lingering winter, Your everlasting joy is my strength.

Amen.

May the One who makes the wilderness bloom bless us all with strength for the journey, turning our collective sighs into songs as we walk together in the light of everlasting joy.
