Wednesday Morning Prayer

February 11, 2026

“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak on his own, but will speak whatever he hears, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.”John 16:13

Heavenly Father,

The air is crisp and cold this Wednesday morning here in the high desert, and the silence over Deming feels heavy yet expectant. As the pale light begins to stretch across the flatlands and trace the jagged lines of the Florida Mountains, I feel the quiet stillness of February settling deep within my bones. Just as the mesquite and yucca wait patiently for the warmth to return, my soul waits in this winter season, acknowledging how small and fragile my faith feels against the vastness of this open sky.

Yet, I know You are the source of all truth, and I ask Your Spirit to guide me when my own understanding falls short. Where I see only dry ground and dormant branches, You see the potential for life that I cannot yet comprehend; where I feel the limitation of my human weakness, You offer a strength that needs no assistance. I surrender my need to know every turn of the path ahead, trusting instead that You will lead me into the deeper realities of who You are, illuminating the shadows of my uncertainty just as the rising sun reclaims the valley from the night.

Grant me a quiet confidence today, believing that You are working even now in the unseen places to bring about growth and necessary change. Take the little I have to offer this morning—my hesitation, my small hopes, my willing heart—and multiply it for Your purposes. Let me walk through this day with a steady assurance that You are cultivating something new in me, leading me forward with a wisdom that is not my own, and holding me secure in a hope that will not fade when the sun goes down.

Amen.

May the Spirit of Truth guide us all into the promise of this day, transforming our quiet waiting into a shared and steadfast hope.
