Matthew 7:7-8

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

Ask, Seek, Knock: These three verbs—ask, seek, and knock—are presented in a progressive intensity. Asking implies a verbal request, seeking denotes a more active pursuit, and knocking suggests a persistence and determination. This progression indicates that our approach to God should not be passive but active and determined.

Promise of Response: The passage contains a promise—that those who ask will receive, those who seek will find, and doors will be opened to those who knock. This promise underscores the responsiveness of God to the earnest prayers and efforts of His followers.
