Praying the Scriptures
Tuesday Evening Prayer
July 23, 2024
There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among mortals by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)
Heavenly Father,
As the sun sets and the stillness of night begins to unfold, we come before You in humble adoration, grateful for the gift of this day and the blessings it has brought. Lord, we recognize that there is salvation in no one else but in Your Son, Jesus Christ. It is in His holy name—a name like no other under heaven—that we find our hope, our refuge, and our ultimate salvation.
Lord, we ask that You quiet our minds and still our hearts as we end our day. Help us to reflect on the ways in which we have experienced Your love and grace. Forgive us for the moments we have strayed from Your path, and strengthen our resolve to walk more faithfully with You tomorrow.
We thank You, O God, for the assurance of salvation that comes only through Jesus Christ. May this truth anchor our souls and bring peace to our spirits. As we rest tonight, envelop us in Your protective embrace and renew us for the challenges and opportunities that await.
Bless those in need of Your healing touch, provide comfort to those who mourn, and extend Your grace to all who seek You. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
In the powerful and precious name of Jesus, we pray,
Amen.
May this prayer bring you peace and comfort this evening.
