The Morning Prayer
Thursday, February 8, 2024

For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.
Romans 8:14-16 (NIV)

Heavenly Father, as the sun rises to greet the new day, I come before You with a heart grateful for Your presence. In the spirit of Romans 8:14-16, I acknowledge that I am led by Your Spirit, and therefore, I am Your child. I am no longer bound by fear, for You have adopted me into Your holy family, and my spirit joins with Your Spirit in affirming that I am indeed Yours.

Lord, as Your child, guide me through this day. May Your wisdom illuminate my path and Your love fill my heart. Help me to see others as You see them, to love as You love, and to serve as You would serve. In every word, thought, and action, let me reflect the grace and truth that You have poured into my life.

Thank You for the spirit of sonship. Thank You for the assurance that I am Yours and You are mine. As I step into this day, let Your peace rule in my heart and Your strength be my guide. May my life be a testament to Your enduring love and mercy.

In Jesus' Name, Amen.

May this prayer serve as a guiding light, instilling peace within you. Let it be a foundation for your day, anchoring you in faith and the steadfast promises of God.
